CLIMA® MANAGEMENT, issue 99

November 2025

COP30, the 30th Conference of the Parties for the implementation of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, is coming to an end these days.

After 30 conferences, the situation is simple and obvious. The countries whose economies rely on hydrocarbons block any decision aimed at phasing them out. On the other hand, the national emission‑reduction plans (NDCs) being submitted cannot achieve the goal of keeping temperature rise below 2°C. The reason these plans lack ambition is that every country prioritizes its national circumstances rather than the planet’s climate. As a result, large countries with significant emissions continue to be classified as “developing” and present plans that place economic growth above all else, postponing planetary protection to the future.
